President's Donation 2022

Every year, STLA donates $20,000 to a charity of the president's choosing. This year, President Mattie Taylor selected Stoddard County Children’s Home to receive the donation. Stoddard County Children’s Home is a non-profit agency located in her hometown of Dexter, Missouri. The home serves as a temporary shelter for abused and neglected children removed from their living situations. The current Children’s Home is operating in a 120-year-old residence. This donation will be used to help furnish the new home, named Harty House, which is under construction.
